Necia Borgh is currently a student, again, in Illustration at The Academy of Art University San Francisco and will graduate in the Spring of 2018.
Necia was raised in Oregon, where it felt like it never stopped raining. She spent many days indoors telling stories and drawing pictures for her friends, both real and imagined. When the rain finally stopped you could find her outside jumping in puddles and building forts.

Necia attended Oregon State University where she studied graphic design and computers. She wanted to be a web designer in the heyday of the early 2000 internet boom, too bad the dot com's bubble burst before she graduated. Instead, she landed in New York City working in Advertising.
Now, Necia lives with her husband and two sons in the Bay area. She went back to school because even though she likes computers and design, she loves telling stories with words and images. She chose to get a second bachelors degree instead of a masters to have more time to hone her abilities.
Necia hopes to primarily work in the field of children's book illustration but is interested in editorial illustration and creative licensing too.
